In August 2008, the Ross Trust decided it will not be accepting any further unsolicited applications for the purposes of Emergency Relief and Material Aid in the 2008-2009 financial year under Impact Area A, this decision will be reviewed on an annual basis.

The Trust's granting priorities remain as expressed in terms of the four impacts towards which the Trust aims to contribute, namely:

  1. Improvement of social and economic outcomes for the most disadvantaged and vulnerable people in Victoria.
  2. Improvement of outcomes for children in their early years.
  3. Improvement of access to and achievement of equity and excellence in public education.
  4. Protection and preservation of Australian indigenous flora and fauna.
