Prior to submitting an application we encourage you to read the Ross Trust's Granting Guidelines. The guidelines will help you decide if your organisation is eligible to receive a grant and if your proposal fits within the Trust's funding priorities.

The Ross Trust makes grants to organisations:

  • Operating in Victoria or who will use the grant for the benefit of Victorians
  • With an ABN (Australian Business Number)
Applicants are NOT required to have:
  • Incorporation (although the Ross Trust prefers that you do)
  • Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status
  • Tax Concession Charity (TCC)
  • Income Tax Exempt Fund (ITEF)

Ross Trust granting priorities
The Ross Trust directs resources towards projects and activities that:

  1. Address disadvantage and inequity
  2. Encourage and promote social inclusiveness, community connectedness, health and wellbeing; and
  3. Protect and preserve Australian flora and fauna
The Trust currently accepts applications under four chosen impact areas.
  1. Improvement of social and economic outcomes for the most disadvantaged and vulnerable
  2. Improvement of outcomes for children in their early years
  3. Improved access to and achievement of equity and excellence in public education
  4. Protection and preservation of Australian flora and fauna

Expression of Interest - Impact Area D: Protection and preservation of Australia flora and fauna
Organisations may submit an Expression of Interest for proposals under Impact Area D: Protection and preservation of Australia flora and fauna. If the proposal is found to be of interest to the Trustees, organisations may be invited to submit a full proposal. The Expression of Interest template is available to download.
