Prior to submitting a formal application to the Ross Trust for funding, you must read the Ross Trust Granting Guidelines. The guidelines will help you decide if your organisation is eligible to apply to the Ross Trust and if your proposal fits within the Trust's granting guidelines and funding priorities.
TO BE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY TO THE ROSS TRUST FOR FUNDING, THE APPLICANT MUST;
- be an organisation; the Ross Trust does not accept applications from or on behalf of individuals;
- have an ABN (Australian Business Number); and.
- be operating in Victoria or proposing to use the grant funds for the benefit of Victorians.
- Be incorporated (although the Ross Trust prefers that you are); or
- Have Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status; or
- Be a Tax Concession Charity (TCC); or
- Be an Income Tax Exempt Fund (ITEF).
The Ross Trust's granting priorities are expressed in terms of the impact which the Trust aims to contribute, namely:
- Improvement of social and economic outcomes for the most disadvantaged and vulnerable people in Victoria.
- Improvement of outcomes for children in their early years.
- Improvement of access to and achievement of equity and excellence in public education.
- Protection and preservation of Australian flora and fauna.
